Overflight of the city of Tabuk is restricted except for take-off and landing following the ATC instructions
OETB AD 2.22 FLIGHT PROCEDURES
2.22.1 GENERAL
 

2.22.1.1 The Tabuk TMA which is described in ENR 2.1 and depicted on the Tabuk Area Chart Arrival is designated as ClassC airspace.
 
2.22.1.2 The Tabuk CTR which is described in ENR 2.1 and depicted on the Tabuk Area Chart Arrival is designated as Class C airspace.
 
2.22.1.3 Except for traffic operating within the CTR or circuit of other aerodromes having their own altimeter setting observations, all aircraft operating anywhere within the Tabuk TMA/CTR shall reference altimeters to the officially reported QNH for Tabuk / Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Airport when at or below the TA.
 
2.22.2 PROCEDURES FOR IFR FLIGHT WITHIN TABUK TMA/CTA
 

The following designated reporting points are compulsory for aircraft taking off or landing within Tabuk TMA:

  •  TABUK approach control service operates Terminal Area Surveillance Radar (TMAR) with single RSAF station located at the Airport The RSAF station has a combined PSR and MSSR Mode-S
  • Approach surveillance radar is avalibale to all aircraft within TABUK TMA. Emergency codes 7700,7600,and 7500 are monitored.
  • All aircraft must squawk the transponder on assigned code as instructed by ATC.
  • For cross-checking of altitudes assigned with the Surveillance Minimum Altitude Chart while under radar control.

2.22.4 RADAR VECTORING AND SEQUENCING
 
Pilot to expect a constant or increasing 10NM minimum horizontal radar separations within TABUK TMA.
