Reminder for Pilots Operating VFR Aircraft to Close Flight Plans After Landing

  Purpose

The purpose of this circular is to inform pilots of VFR aircraft operating in class G airspace within the Jeddah FIR to close their VFR flight plan after landing.

  Background

This rminder to close their VFR flight plans after landing is needed to avoid unnecessary alerting action and search and rescue activities being initiated.

  Required action

Pilots of all aircraft operating within Jeddah FIR under VFR in class G airspace are reminded of the requirement to close their VFR flight plans after landing using any available means of communications.
