OEHL AD 2.22 FLIGHT PROCEDURES
2.22.1   GENERAL
  • The Hail TMA which is described in ENR 2.1 and depicted on Hail Area Chart Departure, and Area Chart Arrival designated as class C airspace from 4500 FT AMSL within 40NM.
  • The HAIL CTR which is described in OEHL AD 2.17 and depicted on Hail Area Chart Departure, and Area Chart Arrival is designated as Class D airspace.
  • Except for traffic operating within the CTR or circuit of other aerodromes having their own altimeter setting observations, all aircraft operating anywhere within the TMA / CTR shall reference altimeters to the officially reported QNH for Hail Airport when at or below the TA.
  • All aircraft landing within or over flying within the Hail TMA are to contact Hail Approach on 123.200MHZ or 120.250MHZ at least 5 minutes before entering the TMA and to maintain continuous listening watch on this frequency whilst within the TMA.
  • All aircraft landing within or over flying within the Hail CTR are to contact Hail TWR on 118.700MHZ at 10 NM before entering the CTR and to maintain continuous listening watch on this frequency whilst within the CTR.

2.22.2   PROCEDURES FOR IFR FLIGHT WITHIN HAIL TMA/CTA

The main holdings are as follows:
  • HIL DVORTAC holding, minimum 6500 FT for ILS or LOC RWY 18, VOR RWY 18 and RWY 36.
  • RADMI holding, minimum 8000 FT and maximum 9000 FT for RNP RWY 18.
  • SISIX holding, minimum 7000 FT and maximum 8000 FT for RNP RWY 18.
  • TAPLKI missed approach holding, at 6000 FT for RNP RWY 18.
  • UMIKA holding, minimum 7000 FT and maximum 8000 FT for RNP RWY 36.
  • VUSOL holding, minimum 7000 FT and maximum 8000 FT for RNP RWY 36.
  • PASIV missed approach holding, at 7500 FT for RNP RWY 36.

2.22.3   ATC surveillance procedures within OEHL TMA
  • Airport surveillance radar is installed at OEHL (272530.21N 0414058.53E) and is available to all aircraft within 40NM radius of the aerodrome. Emergency Code 7700, 7600 and 7500 are monitored.
  • All aircraft must squawk the transponder on the last assigned code until / unless otherwise instructed.
  • For radar procedures, refer to ENR 1.6 RADAR service and procedures.
  • For cross-checking of altitudes assigned while under radar control, refer to ATC Surveillance Minimum Altitude Chart.
